Story Untold Announce Details of Debut Album and Drop New Track “Drown In My Mind”

Pop-punk quintet Story Untold have officially announced the details of their upcoming debut album Waves. It has an expected release on February 2 through Hopeless Records next year. Known for their heartfelt songs and catchy numbers, the band from Montreal, Canada showcase a fresh energy to the table, adding to the diverse range of Canadian bands within the alternative scene.

The five-piece released their self-titled debut EP in 2016 and have toured with the likes of Simple Plan and Hit The Lights. In announcing details of their album, they also dropped their newest single, “Drown In My Mind”.

In the YouTube comment section of the track’s music video, lead vocalist Janick Thibault explained the meaning of the song saying:

“Drown In My Mind” is the song that was the easiest to write for me. It’s just so personal to me and also felt like a huge relief. The past few years of my life have been hard for me on a personal level and back when I had my hard times, I wish I would’ve had a song like that to listen to that would’ve basically told me “it’s ok to feel like that”.

He continues, “Musically I think it sets the mood for the whole album. Our album that is called “Waves” is definitly more mature lyrically and musically than what we put out in the past. I think it’s the perfect balance between catchy fun pop punk songs and more mature heartfelt songs. We hope you guys are gonna dig the songs as much as we do!”
